We booked to go the Motorhome and Caravan show in Peterborough as previously we have enjoyed walking round the vans and stalls. The price included 3 nights of live music. The show was a bit disappointing as the number of stalls had been restricted due to Covid. The bands were cover bands of old groups, probably aimed at the average age of those attending which was a bit older than us! Parking was like a big car park in a field!
We saw all of the show in a day so decided to cycle into Peterborough on the 2nd day. The route took us along the River Nene and into the city. We visited the Cathedral which is a spectacular building and had coffee at Queensgate.
From here we continued down the River past a sculpture park and a Rowing lake. The sun was shining and it was a great day for a cycle.
Back at the site we went for a walk round the ‘car park’ where there was a much greater variety of motorhomes to look at!
The final day we took another wander round the stalls and ordered our Cadac bbq.
We then headed off to the Nene Valley Railway to see the steam trains and go paddleboarding down the river.
